The characteristics of X120MN12:
High abrasive resistance, and impact toughness
Work hardening steel - the more impact and abrasion it gets the harder the surface becomes.
Steel stays ductile underneath - as the surface wears - only outer layer gets hard.
With continued impact the manganese steel can harden to HB500 above.
When rolled - never brittle.
Work hardened surface is almost friction-less.
Non-Magnetic
Quenched, annealed and austenitic
Can be cut by plasma / laser / water jet / oxy-acetylene
Made to ASTM A128 standards, EN X120Mn12, DIN 1.3401, JIS SCMnH11, and China National Standard GB Mn13
